The Department of Business Administration is one of the 16 pioneer departments of Kaduna State University. It was started in 2005 with a first batch of 42 students and three academic staff. The department started postgraduate programmes in 2014/2015 session with six courses namely; Masters of Science (M.Sc) in Business Administration, Master of Business Administration (MBA), Masters in Labour and Industrial Relation (MILR), Masters in Banking and Finance (MBF), Postgraduate Diploma in Management (PGDM), Postgraduate Diploma in Entrepreneurship (PGDES). However, the Ph.D Programme began in the 2017/2018 session to meet increasing demands from the community.
Academic Programs in the Department are Bachelor of Science degree (B.Sc) in Business administration, Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) in Banking and finance, Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) in marketing, Bachelor of Science in (B.Sc) Entrepreneurship, Masters of Science (M.Sc) in Business Administration and Doctor of Philosophy in Business Administration (Ph.D). However, there is plan on the way to introduce more courses to meet increasing demands from the community.
Kaduna State University is a 21st century university. The Department has accordingly bought into that vision. Our students will continue to be exposed to the latest developments in the fields of business, entrepreneurship, banking and finance, management, marketing and the economy using the latest technology. It is our belief that our students should be able to stand shoulder to shoulder with their peers all over the world.
